The Thirteenth Apple is a stained-glass sculpture that invites viewers to contemplate forbidden knowledge.
The apple, a symbol steeped in myth and history, is rendered with an eye-shaped opening—suggesting both the act of seeing and being seen.

The eye can also represent vigilance, enlightenment, and the search for truth. It is a gateway to deeper understanding, suggesting that true wisdom comes not just from possessing knowledge, but from the willingness to look within and
confront what is hidden or mysterious.

The number thirteen hints at mystery and the unknown, challenging the viewer to consider what lies beyond the
familiar. As light passes through the glass, the piece transforms, echoing stained glass’s ancient role as a medium for storytelling and reflection.
